New league option for newer players? Topic

I may be spitting in the wind here, but....I think a lot of people--particularly new players--would appreciate another league option. Call it a nonwinners league or a rookie league, something for those with a limited number--or zero--championships. Let's face it, every open league is about 75% Hall of Famers with dozens of championships and thousands of games experience. A newbie tries an open league, gets crushed, and after a few attempts gives up the game. I can't imagine you guys at WIS are making any money on this particular game--all those multi-championship guys are playing for free, right? An open rookie league would make the game a lot more competitive for a lot of players.
P.S., Yeah, I understand that anyone can start a theme league with those conditions...except it would probably take about a year to fill one!

FWIW, before WIS stopped caring about the NBA SIM, the vast majority of experienced / successful owners wouldn't be caught dead in an Open League. Now, with so many great owners run-off by WIS' neglect, Open Leagues are the only option available to owners who just like having a bunch of teams. Sure that's horrible for WIS' bottom line, but they just don't care.

learn from those hall of famers.  Look at the successful teams and figure out why they're so successful.  Ask questions.  Read guides on the forums.  I've helped numerous players in my time, as numerous players helped me before.  There are plenty of good owners in OLs these days, so figure out who is good & emulate them.  The sim has many problems, yes, but you can overcome most of them if you are willing to listen, learn & practice.  Don't listen to all of the neigh sayers.
