Resigning your own transfer Topic

I pulled this guy from DII, he is back there, do I need to repull him and can we resign our own transfer?

Can't sign your own transfer. They will ignore you.

Wait if you signed him how is he not on your team? Did you release him? Or was he ineligible? Because I signed a guy d2 that didn't show up and went juco. I then signed him the next year with just a scholly offer.

That you can do. You still had some recruiting credit in him from the previous recruiting period too.

Yeah, if he signs as an ineligible and chooses JUCO instead, you keep a portion of your effort and can sign him the following season.

If he is really a transfer (i.e.-someone who left your program over playing time, starts, because you cut someone else) or a player you cut from your roster, they will ignore any effort made to try and re-sign them. (although there was one case where a D2 coach cut a player, then got talked into going to D3 and signed his cut D2 player to his new D3 team...)

The player transferred, he was depth at the forward spot for me, going junior and playing solid minutes this season. But he transferred. I had players I wanted to transfer, I had players that whined for two seasons. I thought, it's never going to happen. But he did transfer. My team finished 30-2. I could not play him more than 5-6 minutes, he was fifth on the depth chart. He transferred and I was like, IT REALLY HAPPENS! I saw him back on the DII level, was wondering if I could resign him. But tkimble told us he will ignore me.
