the all-blue recruit Topic

Anyone has ever seen an all-blue recruit... A kid that FSS loves. If you did, how was the battle? Was it hell or was it a heavenly dream.

In one of my first seasons I saw an all blue recruit at D3. The only problems was his Work Ethic was 1. I didn't take him and I
am not sure if anybody else did--it would not have been worth it.

Zorzii I have seen a couple and probably see the one your talking about now. My experience is there is usually a battle with more than 3 teams so buckle up and play it right if you go.

You'll occasionally see a recruit like that, but if they have any kind of decent starting points and a decent work ethic then as Cmac said, buckle up 'cause it's gonna get expensive.

I recruited this guy this past off-season in Phelan. It cost me about $40K, but I got lucky that the A- that was on him had other priorities and battles. Interesting note was that aSIM AI was on him when recruiting started and it took me $25K with a B+ prestige to even get considered. I didn't scout anything, just took a flyer since there was so much blue! I was lucky and he took the RS, we will see how he turns out. He is blue in everything but rebounding to start, he is average there.  www.whatifsports.com/hd/PlayerProfile/Ratings.aspx

I recruited this guy on my UNC team in Knight -- low starting point for high DI, but blue in literally everything:

Started at 551 overall, is now at 826 midway through his redshirt junior year. Only red right now in REB, so I expect he'll wind up around 880 overall by the time he graduates. My recollection is that I didn't have to battle for him -- I think I was lucky that A+ UVA didn't have many open scholarships that season.

Everytime I see a guy like this they pair all of that potential with a Work Ethic under 10.

I like John's prospect. GV, we still need to see how your player will develop.

I have a SF on my team right now who started with blue in every category except PASS - and had a 58 starting WE to boot. Only issue: his starting values were really low (439 overall for a D2 recruit, including only 33/29 ATH/SPD and 20 DEF). But I gave him a RS, and now 9 games into his RS freshman season, he's at 522 with plenty of growth left.

For the sake of fun! The all-blue prospect was a 447 rated player, DII, and was signed by a D1 team, human owned. 2k... not well spent.

I saw one a couple of seasons ago but he was over 600 miles from my team and a team 150 miles from him was on him like white on rice so I gave up early.

Yeah, I threw out some token money with Bellarmine, but knew I wouldn't get him. Still, would've never recruited him with my bad D1 teams. Seemed like a lot of decent D1 teams taking guys way below what I would expect human coaches to take this year in Tark around my area.

Yeah I'm D3 and got a back message. He had potential but for D1 allot of those had better been high/high for me. I spent 10.00 on a coach call just to see I figured he'd get allot of action from D2 so I waited glad i did saved me money.

He went to a Big Six school, anyways, I was all wrong in that Knight recruiting period, spend 2k on a DII player going to a D1 team, big six. Spent 6.5 k on a DII player going to a solid DII team... Spend 2K on a player without calling the coach, though I could pull him right off the bat... with my A- DIII team. He was 70 miles away. So it was around 10.5 k flushed.

To sum it all up, that Knight recruiting season was a bit of a disaster or me shooting way too high.
