You spelled "want" wrong.

where is the word "want" in my post? MikeT23, maybe less cost to play or more prizes for winning. there is not a shortage of people playing so why not more rewards. why not open this up for chat?

It's $8 a month, buying single seasons, before any rewards.   If $8 a month is too cost restrictive for an individual, I'm not sure they should be playing games on the internet.

Truth is, I'd like to play for free.   But I know I'd be playing against people who are playing for free.  Free is real easy to toss aside and find something else.   27 cents a day isn't really much incentive but it's better than nothing.

FWIW, it's been opened up for chat many, many times.   And every time it's "WifS should make less money so I can play."    Businesses can't work that way.

But, in the interest of compromise, here are two things I'd do immediately:

1.  Re-allocate the $32 given to the 4th place teams.  Give it out each season to teams that are more competitive.
2.  Give a free season, that can only be used in that world, every 10 seasons.   It really wouldn't be that much, as very few owners stick for 10 seasons in one world, and it would provide continuity.

You said "need".  You don't need incentives, you want incentives.

To expand on (1) with my previous suggestion:

Get rid of both the $1 3rd place credit and $4 4th place credit.  That's potentially $38 - $40 per season.  Give a $2 credit to non-playoff teams who finish at .500 or better.

That rewards those who are playing competitively, even if they don't make the playoffs.  And will potentially cost less in terms of credits awarded by WIS that they can reinvest in more things like Mike's (2) suggestion for long-term owners.

MikeT23 thank you for your opinion on this, I just wanted to hear from others on the subject.

Not sure what the right answer is but here are some thoughts

-  I would limit the rewards to division winners and the World Series Winner
-  World Series Winner should get a free season of the Sim Game you are playing
- Division winners should get a buy one / get one season free "coupon"

*  Benefit to WhatifSports is that it will force people to spend $$ to get their reward.
*  Benefit to User is that they can get a full season versus a couple bucks.
*  i agree with above poster that the referral fee should be revisited.  minimum incentive for me to recruit.  if it gave me a full season or two, i may be more likely to share on social media.

ps - would love the rewards to be revisited as well.  if you arent going to put the amazon cards back on - you should consider allowing the credits to be used for any "whatifsports"sim.  i have credits that i won for dynasty baseball but i believe can only be used for football (no interest).  if WIS allowed me to use it for anything, i would use them and maybe shorten some of the world turnover (which may help other peoples experience and get them to come back)
