We have one opening in the Current Contract League! This league was was originally started by Beernoser in 2012. He is taking a break from the commish role and I'm handling duties for now. We are reducing the league to 20 teams from 24. So even though we only need 1 team, there will be 5 rosters to choose from. The league rules and setup is below. This league will be based on its calendar and its contracts.
First, to the calendar
Oct-Nov : Sealed bid auction to sign free agents
Dec-Jan: WIS plays its season
Feb: You can extend contracts only for those players that you signed in the Oct-Nov auction. You get to use the auction value as the first year of the extended contract.
March - Sept. : Watch your signed players take part in real life baseball season.
Oct: You must either resign or release to free agency all of your players who have contracts expiring. To resign a player, you must give him a raise each year.

October Contract Signings:
Each October each owner will have to make a decision for each of its players who have a contract expiring. You can resign him or you can release him into free agency.
If you release him, he will go into the coming free agent auction.
If you resign him you must give him a raise for each year of his contract.
Resign for one year is a 15 raise.
Resign for two years is two 12 raises
Resign for three years is three 10 raises
Resign for five years is five 8 raises.
So if you have a player who had a 10 contract expire in October, you can resign him for one year at 25, two years at 22-34, three years at 20-30-40, or five years at 18-26-34-42-50.
Your salaries cannot be above 1,000. You need to to leave enough money to sign at least 25 players by the end of the auction. You should finish October contract time well below 1,000, leaving you some room to sign free agents during the auction.
