improvement cycles Topic

Last night I received 2 maxed out messages for BH for 2 different players. At the time, each of said player's practice plan ("pp") was 40/40 C/BH (25/25 for iq). So, at approx. 4:45 I changed each of their pp to 10 minutes for each category. At about 5:15, I got 3 more maxed out messages, 2 for the first player and 1 for the second. To me, this means that there are separate improvement cycles throughout the night, happening at different times. We all know about the old FT pp loophole - is it possible that another, broader pp loophole exists?

I think there are reporting cycles on players who are maxed out at apx 3 ET, 5 ET and 8 ET

I dont think there is a round of player improvement at each of those cycles - I think that as players get into maxed out range they get the reports on a somewhat randomized basis.  I dont think you necessarily hear on the instantaneous cycle when a guy gets to an exact maxed out level.  Keep in mind, there can be small improvement left after the maxed out message

I should have found a way to license "maxed out"

Agreed..  I don't know the FT loophole...   maybe I should?!

jtt8355, can you drop some knowledge on me?

there was a glitch many, many years ago (before potential was implemented) where some coaches figured out that FT improvement was processed on a different cycle than the other categories. so, the very astute coaches would have 0 minutes for FT when the other improvements were processed and then 100% of all minutes in FT when it was processed.

so i thought that this was correct, but what happened last night was as follows:
@ bedtime +/- 11:30 PM, my pp looked like this: SH 0 C 40, Reb 0, FW 0, LP 0, PE 0, BH 40, P 0, FT 0
@ +/- 4:15 AM i check WIS, and see that BH is maxed out. so, i change my PP to: SH 0 C 10, Reb 10, FW 10, LP 10, PE 10, BH 10, P 10, FT 10
@ +/- 7:30 AM, i check WIS, and see that 2 more categories have maxed out.

the only possible explanation is that improvements are processed at different times throughout the night.

I'm not sure the only possible explanation is further processing of improvements.  We dont know whether the new practice plan caused those maxes or whether they just happened - or even better - that they just were reported.

Have you ever had a maxed out message with 0 practice plan minutes? Is it even possible to improve with 0 minutes?

Wow, interesting.

I have never seen a max message at zero and I dont think there is improvement there (cant know for sure - we cant see 8th decimal space changes),

I think it is possible that guys max out but do not immediately get reported as maxed out in a given category - again cant tell.  We know that one can get salvos of max messages at three times each eastern time morning.

guys often don't get reported when they are maxed out, either. they often gain 1 more point - some folks have even reported 2. i think basically when there are a bunch of minutes and the rate of improvement is low enough, you get notified, or something. it does seem strange to me that these messages come in not all together but its entirely possible they hacked in the assistant coach messages into the 3 hour cycles, not the practice planning part, and its totally split from improvement. it could go either way though. if it was 5 years ago, i'd sure as hell follow up on it. now, i won't, but i guess all im saying is i don't agree that there is clearly a practice planning issue nor clearly no practice planning issue.

How come there are no max messages in the afternoon in two games a day worlds?
