This team looks like an above average D2 team to me.  You need to get A LOT more athleticism and defense for D1.

I agree with darnoc - that's an above average DII team, not even one with a chance at the national title in DII.

Athleticism, defense, and well just better overall players are what you need.

It's hard to bring in recruits at d1 with a d+ prestige. ..should I focus on bringing in best ath/def and not worry about much elsense??

There are worse strategies......you just need to constantly make your team better, in all honesty if you're players aren't at 80 in their cores you're never going to win a NT game.

Yep, Grogg is the only true D1 player on  that team. Wallace, Morris, and Woodell  are you're next best, but are average/below average at  best.    The rest of the team are average D2 players.

Personally for low D1 I think you can go heavy spd/per/bh/pas.  Personally I think it helps more against low D1/mid majors, but gives you little chance against the big 6.

the heavy ath/def gives you a better shot I think against playing big 6. but you sacrifice a lot of offense for it, and it's not like you're going to upset a Big 6 school anyways.

no, that is a terrible low d1 strategy.

it is hard to bring in players on a d+, but remember - you have better prestige than A+ d2 schools, access to substantially higher recruits, and 3x the money. look at the best d2 teams/players in the country. that is your bare minimum baseline for what you need to be doing. once you have a title caliber d2 team, in d1, you can start to compete.
