Need advice - Guards with high turnovers Topic

I have had back to back games with a single guard having 9-10 turnovers, which was half of my teams total. First time I have seen this, and now two games in a row. Both players have standard distribution (15-20% of the starting lineup), and I played a slow tempo in game 1 and normal in game 2,

Any advice is welcome!

Make him run killers at the next practice and he will clean his game up. Message sent.

Well Hurst is low in BH and P, plus you were playing a real tough FCP team. So that was to be expected.
Dewitt has good BH and P, so that one I can't explain. You were playing against a FCP again and he is your PG.  PG tend to TO ball more against FCP, but wit his BH and P don't know.

Dewitt played for 32 minutes against Hood, and by game's end he was very tired. Couple that with what terps said above re: playing a tough FCP team, and there's that. Hurst doesn't have great BH, so every now and then he may have a game like that - if it's not red, just have Hurst keep working on BH in practice. Plus, that was a game against the #1 team (LeTourneau), so those 9 TOs for Hurst look like more of an anomaly than anything. Otherwise, looks like Hurst is keeping the turnovers to a minimum.

Just make sure Dewitt isn't getting super tired - have him play fewer minutes if possible - but otherwise I wouldn't worry much at all.

That's my two cents, but they're vacuum pennies, so they're old and probably worth about 4 cents if you were to melt them down for the copper and zinc.

Dewitt is playing exhausted. His stamina is not great for a guard even in the zone. I think even when he comes back into the game he is still tired. He was subbed out at the 6:00 mark in the second half and then back in at 5:20. Then 1:22 later he is listed at very tired. His iq is good but not great and he is playing tired. I think these are the biggest contributors to turning the ball over

That is what I noticed as well, too tired. Play him at fairly fresh.

Speaking of coinage, did you know that '64 Kennedy half-dollars' are worth $32...?
Also, there was an "Ernie DeWitt" who played for Bryant College back in the 70's.
