Rules for eplacing an owner? Topic

I swapped into a league to help fill one of my other leagues. There are a few owners who have let their minors fall into total disarray. One guys AAA team is 5-90 and another 8-87. They check in every day and are experienced owners with a lot of games under their belt, so the option for replacing them for not logging in is not an option. What are the other parameters for replacing owners like this?

Unless you have a league rule about maintaining your minor leagues, I don't believe you have an option to replace them.

It'll look bad if you replace an owner for not taking care of their minors. It's kind of a 'gentlemans rule' to keep your minors in good shape, but as far as I know, they have 0 impact on the actual game.

No short term impact, but potential long term impact, if an owner is neglecting his minors to the point where his ML prospects are being abused, getting injured because they're playing with excessive fatigue, experiencing stagnant or regressive development because of lack of playing time, or retiring because they're not being promoted.

Hello all. This was recently posted by MikeT23 in another forum:

The only exceptions, other than outlined in the Terms of Use/Fairplay Guidelines, is that when the world is early into a new season (about a week or two after it fills), we will try to reach out an abandoned owner because we have noticed that it is common for owners to miss the email that you receive when a world fills. We have had "Where did my team go?" tickets due to early season replacements of this kind.
Also, a common misconception, when an owner is in violation of any Fairplay Guidelines, we require that they be notified by support/admin, and then be given ample time to correct the issue, and then a replacement can be made if they are still in violation.
If an active owner requests to be replaced, we require clear confirmation from that owner.
Replacement owners: We require that any replacement owner have a minimum of 3 full seasons of HBD experience and also require that they are not actively managing a transferred franchise.

We do not 'police' transfers or violations. If a transfer is requested, it is up to the commissioner of the world, or current owner if public world, to facilitate all that is needed for the transfer to occur.

So please review the FairPlay Guidelines to see if the owner is eligible.

Thank you!

As a general rule, an owner neglecting his minors won't have any prospects.   That's what I've found in the worlds I commish when an owner leaves and had 3-141 teams in the minors.

These re the league rules.

1.) Owners must commit to the league for a minimum of 3 seasons
2.) Major league rosters must be kept competitive. A minimum of 54 wins is required.
3.) Owners must make an effort to prevent minor league pitching staffs from reaching 0% fatigue.

These guys aren't making the effort.

Which can make that team a very tough sell for another owner to take over.

Send a ticket explaining how they're not abiding by #3.   ADMIN will warn them and, maybe, replace them if they don't put forth an effort.

I have advised the commish to do that. Thanks.
