I took over a team mid-season, and am trying to decide where to call "home" next season. Thinking about Coors Field, but haven't had much success there with the SimLeague pre-season leagues, though it is really fun to see the offensive numbers.

Anybody had success at Coors? If so, any advice?

Thanks!

I've probably seen more championships in Coors than anywhere else.  Sitemail goldie1973 for advice.

if you play in coors make sure you have a ton of pitching. It really stretches out your pitching staff.

I play in Albuquerque, which isn't quite as hitter heavy as Coors(4,4,4,1,0), but 80+ control is pretty much a gimme if you want successful pitching.   You're going to give up hits.   Just don't walk people before you do it.

Thanks for the advice guys. Goldie1973 gave me some good suggestions as well.

I am in 2 worlds.  In both worlds there are only 3 ballparks that would be considered a hitter's ballpark and none are Coors Field..  All the rest of the ballparks are either neutral or pitcher's parks.   So that is 6 hitter's parks to 58 neutral or pitcher's parks.  Also, I've played 79 seasons and never seen a WS title in Coors.  Obviously in can be done but the vast majority of HBD owners stay away from hitter's parks for a reason.  I am actually in one of the 3 hitter's parks (Madison (2,3,2,3,4)) in 1 of my 2 worlds.  Took over a team needing a rebuild so not sure if I will have success there yet or not.

Mr bigham23, have you considered Looievuhl?  I hear Looievuhl is a GREAT place to play.

Mr redmike, of course I considered Looievuhl, but it is occupied in my world by arguably the greatest owner in HBD history.
