An ultimate SIM experience.... Topic

perhaps this has been previously discussed and  apologies if so...

but would it not be possible to recreate an entire simulation experience with today's technology?  More of a WOW experience if you will.

We can recreate the likeness of the players, the stadiums in which they played etc.  The result would be able to be viewed in a replay much like watching a broadcast game today or even from a dugout perspective.

Obviously getting something like this off the ground would require a tremendous investment but I for one would be willing to pay considerably more for this type of entertainment experience than just reviewing a box score as I am now.

I think he means in a video sense. Something like an offspring of a Madden/WIS breeding.

pop..i have also thought about this...but i think we have to give it 40-50 years...they could even do it for some old players like babe ruth by using all available footage...it would be all the sports..you could have the real rocky marciano boxing ali and recreate wilt and russell...
it would be a sim jurassic park.
it will be done for movies one day also.
yes....   this is more along the lines of what I was thinking.  Not just have a name sprawled on a video screen which says Ruth in RF.

I want to see the actual player out there.  I want to see Ted Williams when he was a rail when he first came up or older when his body had changed if that was the year I was using.

For lack of a better way to describe I am thinking of a two dimensional holo deck type experience.
