Can anyone explain if I did something wrong or if there is a flaw in the programming? 

I have two players that are eligible but left off my playoff roster. Both players were on my ML roster well BEFORE rosters expanded. Shouldn't these players have automatically been on my playoff roster?

To expand on that: the "default" playoff rosters will be your 25 man active roster at the time of roster expansion.  If a player is on the DL at the time, he is eligible but not automatically on the playoff roster because he was not on the 25 man active roster at that particular point in time.

Yes, they were both on the DL at the time of expansion. But I never brought anyone up to replace them on the active roster. I was still under the 25 man roster limit including the 2 on the DL. I the 25 guys on your ML roster should ALWAYS be playoff eligible.

If they're on the DL, they're not on the 25 man roster. Not that it helps you but, because you can have 25 active players on the BL roster and unlimited on the DL, that's why they're not considered to be on the 25 man.

Assuming you do not have your settings telling AI to run your ML team, the system is doing what you ask it to do. If you want it to make roster moves for you, you have to specify that. If your settings tell AI to leave your ML team alone, it will, and should, leave your ML team alone. Sure, it would make sense to have the players taken off DL and put back on the 25-man roster for playoffs, It would also make sense to promote anyone in AAA who is better than your 25th ML player, without regard to service time/options etc. And it might make sense to set your Base Running to aggressive, and fiddle with the rest/Replacement settings. Again assuming you have manual control of your ML team, how is the software supposed to know which "logical" moves you want it to make and which you want left alone?
