52nd and didn't make the NT Topic

I got upset in the CT(to a team I beat by 24 and 20 over the weekend) and was sitting at 52nd so I had hopes I could sneak in as a 12+ seed. Nope I got a 2 seed in the PIT? What the hell?

You know what you did...I know that you know because it only took me two seconds to figure out.

A big factor is the number of conferences that are all sim. For example, d3 Wooden has 6 fairly filled conferences and nothing else. The cut on the PR is regularly 42-45 because there are SO many bids given to CT winners that are 100+ in the PR.

The cut is pretty hard to swallow in Tark. Lots of free bids.

I just ran through the list VERY quickly but I counted at least 17 teams that were behind you on the PR who won their CT and thus stole a spot from a team ahead of them. 52 + 17 = 69. Easy enough.

52 is a pretty normal number to miss with. in fact, i'd consider making it at 52 to be very lucky - thats not going to happen very often. just had a conf mate miss at 46 recently. in the olden days, those very low 50s, you had a good chance, maybe better than 50/50. but with how worlds are, you've got to be low 40s to get ****** at a miss!

The same number of losses against 100+ rpi teams as wins against sub-100 rpi teams (3), with no wins against either a sub-50 rpi team or ranked team.

Yale's #40 rpi was a work of pure fiction due to their cupcake nonconference sim road schedule, of which they dropped 3 games against sims they couldn't afford, especially with that conference strength --- and pretty sure Only is aware of this...considering all of his prowess.

thanks nacho for your wonderful support ;)

I knew it wasn't the best schedule, I just reacted quickly with myself at 52 and was more upset with the loss I had after winning twice over the weekend by 24 and 20.

Not really upset, just wish I had scheduled better.
