Concern from today's DevChat Topic

I don't think they will shutdown for a month. They will have a second system (or at least services) in place to beta test on, so they should be able to set up some kind of Web redirects to use the beta system (since beta tests should be done) do worlds in the new system and shift them over as a new season starts.

I think it would be crazy to shutdown for a month.

It's a rolling shutdown. As worlds conclude a season they shut down. Once all worlds are down, they resume in the new format in the same order they shut down, to keep pretty much the same spacing they have now. Only guys with just one team, or possibly two teams in consecutive worlds, will be down for a month. Guys with multiple teams will have a shorter shutdown, some of them much shorter.

That said, any shutdown is unfortunate. I am sure Seble is highly aware of that and would avoid it if there were any way to do so.
