Well there's one you certainly don't see/hear very often. I remember once as a sports editor being threatened to be thrown from a soccer regional game for something the guy behind me a row or two had yelled, only to have the guy from the big city paper come to my defense with "hey, it wasn't him, and to be honest the guy was right, you blew the call."

Ahh, the days when I was younger and watching other people's kids run around playing games...

I still think the best of all time was when that douche Joey Crawford T'd up Tim Duncan for laughing at him...while tim was sitting on the bench.

A friend was mine was at her son's junior high game. She was really letting the refs have it, "Foul, Ref!" ...."He traveled!". The ref stopped the game and said, "Lady, do you want this whistle?"

I was once the substitute PA announcer at a college basketball game. I read the starting lineups that the two benches handed to me. The home team sent out a guy who wasnt announced. The ref called a technical. Pointed at me. I dont know if I am in the books as having drawn a technical foul - but that's the closest I could ever come to getting into the boxscore of a DI game.

The ref wasn't pointing at you. He was pointing at the book. Its a book technical meaning that it is assigned to the team, not a specific player or coach
