For me I'm deciding between Crum Heartland, Allen Calif, Smith Southern, Rupp Central Atl., and Wooden South Atltough call between those five all have a resume to make a claim for it.

looks like all of your top 5 are on the list there only. looks like cal caa - allen is destroying everyone though. worth mentioning, the conf dynasty list program is definitely not at good as the regular dynasty list program. that's still a huge gap though, i suspect if you really dug into the resumes it would be clear cal caa should be #1.

the problem that makes the resume for the Cal conference in Allen is they have some really really good coaches with few or no NC's like mduncanhogs. sweatpeapapa, farve3xmvp, and just added cornfused who are all elite D2 coaches, but don't have tons of NC's.

I think a good measure of true conference strength are overall NT wins.
Once you get to the NT there basically is no way to hide or inflate records & rpi by scheduling 80% of the non-conf against sims.

And once you start getting around 20 NT wins in a single season you're approaching dominance. The Allen-Calif between seasons 79-81 went 20, 20 & 21 NT wins. 61 over three seasons is very impressive.

The most dominant three year stretch I've seen at D2 (there may have been better) was Allen-Gulf South between seasons 57-59, having 22, 24 and 23 NT wins for a three season total of 69 NT wins.

i think actual performance outranks any on-paper advantage in coaching talent

When I first started in the Allen CCAA the Gulf South was dominant in that world. But over time, they cleared out and we filled up with great coaches. CCAA is definitely a competitive conference. But we also just lost ARomano and all his titles, so we need to make up for that to keep the top spot.

I wasn't saying they weren't number one(i think they are) I was just saying thats why they didn't look like the runaway #1 like the UAA does
