I am the biggest idiot.....FSS Topic

So I have now accidentally used my carryover on FSS before recruiting ended mistakingly when I have 0 open scholarships. I'm not sure why I keep doing it because both times I've had 0 scholarships and now thats a combined 13K I've wasted in carryover :|

If not at least you can laugh at me being an idiot....

and to make sure when you FSS so you don't run into the same problems as me

still making dumb mistakes like this after almost 2 years... smh

I once spent $5,000 to recruit a player who wouldn't sign..no matter what I tried. I then realized that I'd already filled my roster the day before

there was a time when it was debated whether every single player who gave you a "maybe later" message in d2/d3 could be pulled down. i was in the camp who thought it was always possible. well, one player comes along, and the SOB just won't pull down. of course, i'm not walking away because its about more than the player, i had to know the truth. i got up to something crazy like 12k worth of evals (d2 not d3) before i re-checked his phone call response and realized it was a no way message.

Not too long ago, I recruited a really nice class to Arkansas in Tark, including a four-star that was a program changer for me at the time. All of them were considering only me going into signings.. I was RIDICULOUSLY stoked, until I logged in after signings and realized that I had a redshirt from the previous season I forgot to account for and was attempting to sign six freshman. But of course, now the RS guy was also a freshman and I was over my schollie limit. So the result? All of that class signed except for my best recruit- the guy I was so stoked about... he went back into the recruiting pool and Texas scooped him up. I'll see if I can go find the guy.

Found him... https://www.whatifsports.com/hd/PlayerHistory/Ratings.aspx?&pid=3137577 - That was a helluva a recruit for a C prestige school, but no- instead it was a the most painful miss I've ever had.

I've done something very similar as well.

I once signed a player I was really excited about and couldn't figure out why no one battled me for him... then realized when he got to campus that he had a single-digit work ethic. Somehow it had escaped me while I was recruiting him.
