Currently I've got a DIII player who started at 29 LP and 27 PER. Shockingly after his second season (pre-NT) he sits at 70 LP and 67 PER. Both of the ratings are also still in the blue. How rare is a 70+ combo at the DIII level?

Rare. Because... Many coaches focus on ATH/SPD/DEF and either LP or PER, one or the other. Getting both LP and PER doesn't happen all that often at d-3 because it's not as effective without some sort of athletic/speed ability to go with it (and BH for guard-types). And getting everything probably means he isn't at d-3. Or you'd need a high WE guy with great potentials with the key attributes at the right starting spots, but, again, usually such a player will be spotted by higher divisions.

Your guy is pretty good despite meh ATH/SPD, but also his team has really low passing (4 team assists/game!). His FG% numbers will probably be disappointing.

I didn't have any true guards this past season. 3 openings coming up and I have no reason to get frontcourt guys, I've got too many.

not a guard, but here is another example - 92 LP 82 PE, and still growing. could end up at 90+/90+
