Quick poll on rescinding Topic

Currently, when a new coach takes over a school and rescinds a scholarship, there's a chance that one or more other players will quit the team as well. I'm leaning toward removing that logic, but wanted to pass it by you guys. What's the majority preference?

This is one of those cases where too much realism is a bad thing. There's no good reason to throw another speed bump into a probable rebuild situation.

I currently agree with no teammates leave.

I agree

Realistic but not fun for the Game.

Def no others should leave.

mixed feelings on it - it does add some realism, and adds a bit of mystique to the cutting the deadweight process but the chance seems very low (In all my rebuilds, which usually involve cutting as many players as the AD will allow, I've only had 1 quit in solidarity), which makes the result sort of arbitrary and randomly punitive, so I voted to axe it...

I think if the job logic from DIII to DII is fixed, the nobody leaves But if a team with a B prestige gets to A... not sure.

Thanks. I'll continue to monitor the voting for a bit, but you've confirmed my own feelings.

Players potentially leaving due to cuts should only impact if the coach also signed the player that was cut IMO. I know it's a rare, almost unseen happening for a new coach to cut someone and see someone else on the team leave, but I am perfectly fine with that slim chance disappearing. It's just an unnecessary burden to the coach coming in if, in an attempt to get a roster competitive, there's some huge domino chain reaction.

I do want to point out that I do LIKE the penalty when you are cutting players you recruit .. I just would like it to go away for players that someone else recruited.

Remove from D3 Logic, maybe D2.....KEEP at D1 level!

anyone who ever took over a new team, cut a chump, and then had their best player inexplicably leave too...thus setting back your rebuild....will say 'get rid of this.'

hahahahaha...no...stop...please...i can't breathe.
geezus, this is rich...you're wanting input on whether you'll run off imaginary players?! ....what about more pressing issues - like running off paying customers?
seriously, has anyone looked at the #'s?

i've played this game since 2007 - shelling out over $800 on 66 seasons - and am being run off by you Seble, because you aren't listening to your customers. no one has asked for this, but by god - you're going to give it to us - because, well, no one knows for sure...but we're going to get the best game no one ever asked for.

save your breathe and tell us when our last season of this game will be played, so we can plan accordingly.

I'm certainly not for a player leaving because you rescinded a scholarship of another player. However, if we do need to have it, there should be some type of warning. IRL, you would have some idea, maybe you would know it's his best friend or maybe that player would hint that if you rescinded a scholarship that player would leave as well.

On an somewhat unrelated note, I would also go as far as to say that a coach's reputation should not be impacted if he cuts a player that he didn't recruit.

Not me. I had it happen. It messed up my plans. But I love the monkey wrench unpredictability
