pricing adjustments and cookie concentrations Topic

while i understand that the repricing based on utilization is an iterative process, has anyone looked at the net effects of the repricing of players, i still see alot of cookies in the stat snapshot. i understand that even in a perfect market, there will be a "best value" player, but from the weekly stat snapshots i've seen, it doesnt look like the re-pricing has discouraged teams from picking HJohnson, AJoss, MDilone, etc. perhaps the feedback loop is significantly longer than expected?

We've had exactly 1 pricing adjustment. I've played in several OLs since then, and I would say the effect has been profound.

I agree with contrarian23, I find that rosters are quite different already and I have had pretty good teams using players I never would have thought of before.

Even those using the previous cycle's cookies are spending more on them, which means that they are having to make strategic choices about how to spend money and cut somewhere else that they did not have to make previously.

June 7.

The pricing changes have certainly effected rosters for OLs. Still a bunch of the old position player cookies on rosters but pitching staffs have changed considerably. As stated before me, additional price changes should change the scope of the position player cookies too. I was a bit of a naysayer and will admit I was wrong. I do hope, however, that we see price drops periodically too...we don't need to see players being overpriced...such as HoJo soaring to $7 million or some fool thing. Kudos to Contrarian for paving the way on making the price changes happen and changing the face of the game so OLs have new challenges we can enjoy.

agree with each word of cwillis' post. I have noticed a significant change in roster composition and have enjoyed building teams under the new salary structure. If HOJO soars to $7m, it will be attributable to continued increased usage and perceived value at that level. At some future time, there will be a tipping point.

I enjoyed never facing Addie Joss in a recently completed open league.
