Distro for FastBreak? Topic

This thread is interesting to me. Running all 0's, wouldn't that give your second string as much as your starters? When the game engine substitutes 2 or 3 players, wouldn't your second stringers get as much play as the starters that are still in? Would running five 10's for your starters do the same thing, but running your second string at 2 or something like that prevent the problem of second string taking play away from first string? Just wondering.
I believe that if you set it all at 0, then the game engine will look for the player that is the most open and has the best chance of making the shot on that play.

Many of my teams run with zeros, because I typically don't have a dominant scorer. I also studied it for a while a few years back, and found that for my teams' turnovers went up slightly when setting a distribution because (in my theory) I was forcing the ball to a player who wasn't open.

I'm thinking about going to fastbreak with one of my teams - just for the heck of it.

Is there a thread out there that compiles the wisdom on running fastbreak?

I doubt you get away with a 0 distro in motion, flex or triangle...
Check out Illinois and Stanford's resumes in Rupp. Neither run FB and I believe he's run all 0's for several seasons. Stanford for sure, not sure if he still does it with the Illini or not.

Like I said ive made FFs running all 0's and never with a FB team.

Don't you get to many 3 point shots from guys who shouldn't take them with all 0's?

Doesn't that have to do with 3 pt frequency not distribution?

On all zeros the sim sets up your distribution as it would set up a sim team. Look at the average sim team, do you like the setup of their distribution?
