Limiting sim class size Topic

Always thought limiting sim class size would help provided of course we continue to make sim schools recruit better (as well as having sim schools from higher divisions beat out players in lower division schools get to balance things out among the individual divisions), but limiting class structure might hurt the number of times we see super sim teams, but it makes it more attractive to take over schools which should be a goal, as well as the poor new coaches that sign up for a sim team that went 9-28 and has 10 sim sophomore recruits. also increasing sim player/team gameplanning would be a plus, practice plans, depth charts, 3 pt settings, +/- defenses

I mean even now divisions are dominated by sims might as well try to make them at least respectable to take over if not at least not teams you can beat running freshmen

just another thought thats pointless at this point

who cares. sims suck anyway. when I take over a simai school I cut everyone 98% of the time regardless...

Only, why do you keep doing this to yourself, and me. It's like a self-inflicted kick in the nuts to keep talking about useful changes to the game, dog.

well that would be the point with better recruiting, gameplanning, and class structure it wouldn't suck as much to take over sim schools. there's been countless times I see a school I want to take over but then they have 10 sophomore players.

That is just a too logical and easy change to make! :)

This is a complete waste of time. The Beta already includes some improvements to SIM gameplan and depth chart management. So, you should be thanking seble for that!

As to class size limitations...there is no point to the discussion. It doesn't hurt anything...the best school to take over, IMO, is the SIM team that just graduated 10-12 players. The last season was usually better, resulting in a Prestige & HCA bump, and you have plenty of ability to make promises and build your own team. In the new game, the IDEAL D3 team to take over is a superclassed gang of seniors. They outperform, then leave. It's just not a big deal.

I'm just saying it should go farther beyond minor improvements, I mean heck the divisions 40% full at max. Are we just going to let the 60% be absolute dog ****? It'd be nice for them to not be utter garbage minus maybe 10 at most that are respectable

Yes and how many times have you wanted a school but they had 10 sophomores or freshmen, or see a new coach take over a school with heavy sim underclassmen, sucks when the D1 job you want is filled with sims, one of the few sims in a strong conference of any level is heavy underclassmen, or any decently located school has heavy underclassmen as well.

It might not be the most important thing, but it sure as hell a pretty big factor, or are we just supposed to leave it alone and hope maybe in another 5 years they decide to make sims better since they make up 75% of divisions?

What is the downside to doing this, I don't see one except the lowest tier coaches getting made they lost to a 10-7 sim since we allowed sims to set a team gameplan and a player gameplan?

Or do we just settle for oh these updates are sa good as we can get them, lets leave everything else alone and worry about it if we even do get another update. Its amazing to see how many people think one update fixes everything and we should just ignore everything literally every aspect of the game can and does need improving but oh no we have 1 area we think might get better so lets ignore everything else

Really just make sims better at depth charts, set player gameplans/distro, practice plans, and create a formula to determine +/- settings, I mean a basic tempo just going on whether they have more team ath-spd-def or even just overall so its not like facing a limp biscuit

Quit with the strawman crap. The downside of doing it is it is a waste of time that could be spent on ANYTHING else. You want to talk adjusting top-tier D1 recruit generation...fine. You want to talk conference re-alignment to more nearly reflect the 2016-17 world...great. You want to talk application process...firings...advertising...good. Sim recruiting (along with every other segment of recruiting) is already going to be substantially different. You have no idea whether the same issues will continue to recur or not.

In any event, you are arguing against your own point. If the worlds remain as empty as you say, then there will be plenty of openings to choose from. Now, if there were scarcely any vacancies, then you could make the case that the sim teams ought to be managed to make them more appealing to take over each season, but there's no need with hundreds of openings at each level in each world.

Will it doesn't matter what I suggest since it's not gonna happen so I'll just suggest anything and when its a problem you'll see my suggestion from before.... If useful stuff besides bickering over superstructures, and screwing over good teams, maybe I'd stop with it, oh and I already talked about those so why would I keep beating the same drum just so billy/tj can come yell at me for saying the same thing over again? I've brought them up ignored, and moved on to something else to get ignored with...

Sims still suck I think we can agree, still have D3 schools beating D1 school with 1 scholarship in season 3 of the beta. Sim practice plan, gameplanning even if slightly improved still suck.

The openings wasn't the biggest deal, the biggest deal was in a world where already 60% sim before the updates hit wouldn't you want sims to be at least respectable and requiring so basic form of game planning, empty conferences still would be boring, but its easier than just setting uptempo +1 for the entire regular season.

And even with still many openings there is few openings say Florida/Colorado/California/Strong conferences/Big 6 jobs(for now), now you just hope it isn't a sim school with 10 sophomores.... Are we just gonna say oh well 25% of sim openings are straight up garbage but don't worry we have some other jobs that are only slightly less garbage, sorry they aren't in a conference or location you'd like.
