I just noticed this text when you click the "?" button on the Practice Plan page of the new version of HD:

"From this section, you may set your team’s practice plan. You have 40 minutes to allocate between team offense and team defense categories. You are not permitted to exceed those 40 minutes, or it will cause players to exceed their allowable 130 total practice minutes."

Are offense/defense practice really capped at 40 total minutes? I know players generally don't get much benefit if you practice something much more than 20 minutes each, but is the system actually limiting it? I couldn't find any other documentation about this...

FWIW, I've had 21 minutes each set for off/def for my team in Rupp without any error messages, but maybe that's because it rolled over with 21 minutes on both already set? Or is the sim internally capping the team practice time at 20 minutes each, and I'm just wasting 2 total practice minutes?

Maybe it means 40 mins in each.

I had 22 in each in BETA

I have 25 each in Rupp with no error. It carried over from 2.0

In Beta, the cap is 99 minutes.
I think before you can adjust O and D upward, you have to decrease your players' skill category minutes and definitely save, then at that point go back to the O/D minutes.

Which is similar to how it worked in 2.0, you have to get under the 130, save, then adjust.

Right, that's true, with the "save" part being a necessary step like you said.

Yeah, I understand how it has always worked. It's that I just noticed that "help" message that suggested offense/defense was limited to 40 minutes.

Interestingly...... that message has now disappeared. It now reads "From this section, you may set your team’s practice plan. You have 130 minutes total to allocate between team formation practice and individual player improvement practice, so use your time wisely."

So I guess eliminating the "40 minutes" message from the help message answers my question.
