Heading into part 2 of recruiting, a D1 recruit is "Very High" on a D! team and moderate on mine. Do I have a chance in this? Or is it like throwing away attention points and money if I pursue?

It would really come down to your prestige as a D2 and what you can offer. If that d1 team offers 20 home visits and any kind of playing time, I'd assume your probability of landing the recruit is pretty slim.

Probably the latter. In the instances where a decent recruit has gone to a D2 school, the D1 school didn't do a very aggressive job of recruiting and the D2 was all in and Very High for all or most of the course of recruiting. Since whatever you devote to this recruit probably won't succeed, it is likely time to redirect your resources to a place where they will do more good.

Not enough information to answer. Is the D1 a sim team? Can you max out your effort? What is the "D!" team's prestige?

If the D1 team's prestige is very low...in the D range...and you can max out your effort, then you have some chance of getting into the RNG at the end. It's a risky strategy, but not impossible...as Spud well knows.

Sim coach? Can you max out recruiting effort? Have you already sent a CV or made promises?
