Recruit generation -- Duplicate names Topic

Was there anything in 2.0 recruit generation that prevented duplicate names? In all the years playing, I don't recall ever seeing two recruits with exactly the same name in the same season's/world's recruiting pool. However, I just noticed two guys named "David Davis" in Naismith world.....

If there wasn't ever anything preventing duplicate recruit names before, perhaps it's something to add? Lots of potential for confusion...

I have seen several duplicate names in the same recruiting year, but they are few and far between.

In 2.0 or 3.0?

2.0

I am betting nothing special has been done to keep them from happening in 3.0 too.

Nice - you could have an old school funk duet if you could land both of them.

It would be very nice if they did a check and made those go away. It screws up lookups between General and Ratings in my spreadsheets if two guys have the exact same name. I could figure out how to strip the RecruitID number out of the link and add it into it's own column, but that is a PITA .. so no duplicate names would be much appreciated if possible :)

In 1.0 I found literally identical players in different worlds. The admin at the time couldn't explain it.
