if you have a red-shirt freshman can you bring in 6 freshman during recruiting to have 7 freshmen on the team?

I believe it's 6 max in a class at any time, meaning you can not have 6 JR and recruit a juco. redshirt status does not matter.

you cant recruit into more than 6, but if a nonqualifier stays for 5th season you can get to 7 in a claas for example
