IMPORTANT NOTICE FOR WIS Topic

I think regular email makes most sense. There are going to be coaches who lose their first game in the CT and have no reason to log on for almost 2 weeks. They can and will forget. People have lives.

Then I guess they should do both as I would likely not see it in email but would see it in my inbox within the game.

WIS also needs to get the dates correct as shown on screen for recruiting. IBA recruiting still tells you recruiting starts 10/19, and ONLY if you go into the hard to locate World Calendar, do you see correct information.

Really guys, we may be the fish in your pond, but taking us for granted makes us more like Lemming heading for the sea!
No .. it tells you that Signings started on 10/19 .. in the first session .. which they did. They CONTINUED in the second session. It is still the SAME SEASON.

I totally agree with this. It seems like this would be something that would only take a few minutes to add, although I am no computer programming expert. I am having a super hard time keeping up with my 10 teams.

One suggestion, if everyone is up for it, in the meantime - I have been trying to post a reminder on my conference chat board. when recruiting starts.

I'd like to see two notices - one a couple of days before recruiting, and one when AP can be placed at 8 AM. That way I have a couple of days to prepare.

I put it in the team notes on each of my teams and keep it updated myself.

There's a simple check box that allows Site Mail to either notify you on site or be sent direct to your email. It shouldn't be a challenge for something similar to be placed for game notifications -- do you want those just posted in-game or via your actual email. That way those who don't log in or have many teams and lose track of things like this will know via email whereas those who want no clutter will not be impeded upon.

if it can only be one, I'd prefer in-game messages. I'd prefer not to clutter my real life email.
I'd prefer regular email in case I don't log into WIS every day.
Maybe they can send an uber to your house and have the driver knock on the door .. and if no answer then maybe he could drive to your work :)

It is not so easy is it .. I also HATE getting spam email to my real account.
They took the uber approach you joked about to revise recruiting, might as well spoonfeed everything else...

Reminders for the start of recruiting should be added soon via email or inbox messages.
While you're at it, can we get the messages for our players getting "maxed out"?

+1. That email and grades were literally the only reason I ever went to look at the practice plan once the season started.

Even though a message would be great and a big convenience, at the end of the day the responsibility is on each coach to know what is going on with each of their teams. My point is -- let's not blast WIS and yell at them for something that is ultimately your responsibility. Let's not blame them for something you screwed up on. This sounds like something that is "ticket worthy" and not just "let's go to the forum and type in all caps trying to blame WIS for my mess up".

Again, I don't disagree with you at all that the message would be helpful... I just think there are bigger fish to fry.
No, let's do blast WIS for not making such an easy change to help owners. Should of been done the first time it was mentioned. There was/is no downside.

I would like to say that if nothing else, my all caps message got WIS to tell us that they were going to add this feature. It might have gotten them to decide to do it. The maxed out message was very helpful too, I don't pay much attention to my practice plan anymore, because I don't know whether he is still growing or not.

even if WIS staff chooses not to fix lots of other stuff, this is easy and really needs to get done.

some needed fixes are no doubt complex - gotta be able to do this - since the game always did this before

what dumbass decided - well, we always sent an email that recruiting was about to start - now that there is scouting all season and two recruiting periods, lets get rid of the notification.

moronic not to retain this feature

Vandy, are you keeping your two teams here in 3.0? Or just letting your credits run out?
