I was pursuing a player and I had him at Low interest with a Scholarship offer. Another team had Very High interest and a scholarship but had already signed all of its recruits. There were no other scholarships offered to the player.

My understanding was that on the last cycle before recruiting ended the player would opt to sign with whatever the best remaining offer was (mine by default since it was the only option).

However, the player did not sign with me and I would like to understand why not

I THINK they will sign with Moderate if there is a scholarship offer. I think JUCO route is only for ineligible players. But that is a good thing to ask about and get cleared up.

Update. The player did not sign when recruiting ended but he signed several hours later at the beginning of the next normal cycle (ie 2 AM instead of 11 PM).

That made me happy when I got the Scholarship email!!

The last cycle processes at 2 am. The last time you can put in effort is 11pm. I think that's what happened to you.

That was what happened to me although when the cycle rolled at 11 PM it said "Recruiting ended" and did not allow anymore effort to be applied.
