Redshirt - WE dropped 6 points Topic

I redshirted a freshman who would be 4th on the depth chart and he said:

Coach, based on this years team, I think your decision to redshirt me is a little questionable.
I just don't think it's cool that you didn't say that I would be looking at a redshirt season when I got here.

His WE dropped from 56 to 50.

Anyone know if there will be anymore negative impact to leaving him as a redshirt? In all the time I've played, I've never had a freshman not accept the redshirt.

you should consider that a fine result - WE wont go down any more and losing just 6 is no biggie
