Scouting grades? Topic

ive just finally started tallying up what each grade means for a number range. In so I've noticed a few times (I think with out error) that sometimes the letter grade is not consistent with the number for example I had an F = 11 and another time F- = 15. And this was for the same position and the same attribute since it seems that position and attributes don't exactly lineup across the board. Anyone else see this happening?

Yes. I've had a blue C become a green #. I figured I'd keep my yap shut because it's only happened a few times but my theory is the next level of scouting might produce more accurate results. I didn't even intend to go to level 4 but, when I thought it happened once, I had to test it again.

No I mean on the 3rd scouting the letter was a "true" F and it turned into an 11 on the 4th scout, then a "true" F- on the the 3rd scouting turned into a 15 on the 4th scout. There fore the F was a lower number than the F-. I'm trying to determine the ranges for each grade for example a B+ on a SG will be 75-79.

chappelhilline's Guide to 3.0 at the top does that for you.

Ok that helps, I've never read thru that. I guess I just wasted a bunch of time writing all this stuff down

You only reveal high-highs and low-lows at level 4. Up until that there's just high, average, and low. I don't think you can ever have a green letter. If you can I've just been missing it...

I never noticed. I know I just punched buttons my first season. Stupid n00b ****. I paid more attention this year, even monkeys can learn, so I was surprised to see blue go to green. It was an eye-opening experience. As I said, I wasn't 100% sure it even happened so I had to do it again.

Level 3 only gives you three colors. Blue at Level 3 can mean blue OR green for level 4, Black is just that, and yellow at Level 3 can be yellow OR red when you get to Level 4.

I'm really interested in matt's observation though. Initially in beta seble wanted to assign letter grades per attribute by listed position (so a B speed for a PG would be a totally different range from what B speed for a PF would be). Wondering if there's some scraps of code that didn't quite get changed when everything was streamlined to one chart.
