Man to Man

Because, most of the time I'm too lazy to adjust from game to game.

I love going against man-to-man. Then again, I love scouting my opponent and finding weaknesses. I may have a notebook or two...

I hate press because it does not give me that many options.

yeah, i feel like facing press teams is where i get the most unpredictable results.

My least favorite is the 3-2 zone when the starting PF-C are both excellent-to-elite defenders...I hate the thought of attacking the paint against that sort of lineup, but attacking from the perimeter seems to play right into strength of the 3-2 to reduce the number and percentage of 3-point shots.

I haven't played in awhile but this will be my third season in 3.0 and that is the approach I'm going with. I like the flexibility of the zone (3-2/2-3/compact/spread out/poor mans box and 1 if you double their scorer). It also lets you grab a mix of shooters and defensive guards. The only caveat is, like you said, you have to have some good defensive trees that can anchor the team. I've also been using stamina and athleticism as a tie breaker with recruits because I want to throw in press-d into the mix from time to time.

I do miss the sim first half at 2pm sim second at 2am so you can make adjustments.

Maybe I'm miss remembering. Like I said it's been awhile.

haha--this is precisely why I run 3-2 Zone and always try to have two elite post defenders on the roster.

It's a great setup that was overlooked in the game for the longest period of time. It used to be I'd go multiple seasons between encounters with it. Now the cat is out of the bag a little bit more and I'm seeing it from people probably once or twice a season now.

I agree with you, rednu. 3-2 zone is definitely my least favorite. So much so that I avoid putting teams that play zone on my schedule.

Definitely the 3-2, especially when they run a -3 or -4. Never sure how to attack that.
