D2 Recruiting D1 Preferences questions Topic

When it comes to signing preferences does it matter since I'm waiting until period 2 to sign them anyways? Should I avoid late recruits or by the end of period 1 recruits?

Depends on a number of things. A D1 recruit with an Early preference might not sign until late if a d2 school is the only one recruiting them.

I have spotted a few recruits in the "by the end of period 1" that I'd like to go after that have flaws I don't think D1 teams would take, is it worth putting attention points in?

Absolutely. D2 signings of early preference D1 guys happens all the time first cycle of part 2 recruiting.

It's okay to give them some AP's, but I wouldn't spend any HV's or CV's until you know no humans will jump on them.

I don't know about that.

I almost always send a CV if I really want the guy. If I am willing to max the guy out, I will do it in the hopes that a d1 team won't want to waste a lot of resources to grab a backup.

Yes

I don't really pay attention to signing preferences in the beginning, if I run into trouble then I might start to pay attention.

That seems like a poor plan.

If a recruit hates everything you do, I'm pretty sure you can be knocked down quickly by a higher level team. Then you've wasted resources.
