So I've totally missed in recruiting in 3.0 three our of the four seasons that my world has been in it, and as a result, I've signed a couple of complete dud players. I currently have one player (McGlory) who is pathetic and isn't going to get any better. He's currently averaging 4.8 MPG with 5 DNPs in 20 games. He has sent me two emails complaining about playing time.

Will he continue to complain or has he already stated his feelings?
Is there any "secret sauce" to predict whether or not he will transfer as opposed to just sitting around and clogging my bench?

I have had one player quit via complaints in approx. 125 seasons. And that was over a minor complaint that I calculated was within tenths of a minute of being met by seasons end.

On the flip side, I have had MULTIPLE people who I was intentionally TRYING to get to quit...none of them ever walked, in some cases even with DNP for the vast majority of the season.

There's no special formula aside from it doesn't happen often unless a promise is also involved.

I wish that you could respond to the complaints and help them "find the door". I have not figured out the formula to leaving in 3.0, although I have tried my best. I even have one that came up at mid terms at 2.0 and decided to make him ineligible just to remove from my bench. With ZERO SH minutes he brought his 2.0 up to a 3.0 and remained.
I hope he leaves at season end without me cutting him!

I have long thought that a dropdown menu of options to encourage players to leave would be fun

- require player to wash team uniforms

- inform player he wont be leaving the bench

- reassign player's locker to team manager

- date player's girlfriend
