rather than disappear, some signal should indicate "Locked until Phase 2" but still display status - so that coaches can use the period between phases to plan what they will do in phase two

Agreed. I use the colored dots to signify different things, one being "Scholarship offer open but not offered", but I have no idea if I have players at 78% CV opened and the like.

this cant be hard to do - the sort of small user friendly improvement that they should have been rolling out now and then - like a couple a month - since 3.0 launched.
