Is there such thing as A+++ IQ and if so does it make a difference?

Hoops Dynasty – College Basketball Sim Games - Bobby Trower - Ratings - Phelan - Hoops Dynasty Basketball | WhatIfSports

This guy is red in all of his catagories (which he basically was at the start of this season) and he is only a Junior, he is also at A+ offensive and defensive IQ. Will he be any better next year than he was this year? The only thing he can improve is IQ, and it's already at the top.

Completely unrelated, but how many minutes do you put into your O/D?

I've been told 20-25 each. That seems to move players from D to B over the course of a season.

As for the original question, one can assume A+ is equivalent to 95-100. Once a player hits 100, he cannot reach 101. IQ has to work the same way.

20 minutes for both on this team. He's a red shirt, so he is really a senior right now.

If that's true that would be too bad, he would just be sitting there maxed out with nowhere to go.

He is welcome to sit on one of my teams!

I don't think this is true. I asked this same question several years ago and gillispie told me he had reason to believe the A+ was similar to prestige in that it was not capped. I followed up by asking about Home Court Advantage but can't remember the answer on that.

I'm not 100% of course. I just don't think you can exceed the limits listed. I had a guy stuck on 100 rebound for almost a full season. There's no reason for me to believe a letter grade can be exceeded because we know a number grade cannot.

For the numbered attributes yes, 100 means 100 every time and there's no going higher than that. Although there used to be players with >100 in durability for some reason.

Its a well known fact that prestige isn't capped at A+ and the actual recruiting multiplier will keep going higher, although it will simply be represented by A+. With this it's not out of the question the same thing could happen for a players IQ, and I have reason to believe that it does.

I have no reason to argue against your point but could you reveal the reason you believe it does? How good a player is on D is damn near impossible to track and offensive numbers depend on a lot of factors.

Here's my logic:

In HBD, with the "right" kind of injury and proper budget, you can get a superman when he returns from injury who'll exceed 100. Maybe it's 102 power or 104 VR but, when the season rolls, it's back to 100. The program just doesn't want to allow the superhuman player.

Personally I have no actual evidence one way or the other. It just seems that SRs who maxed out most of their potential by their JR year will put up marginally better numbers their SR year than they did in their JR year. But more importantly I'm going off what Gillispie, one of the most successful coaches and prolific forum writers, once told me.

Ages ago, admin said that prestige was not capped - that it goes up - very slowly - and there are different levels of A+

I am not aware of any parallel discussion of IQ.

I dont think we know whether IQ behaves with ongoing slow growth - lets imagine maybe even asymptotic growth - or whether it hits a true max as do skills.
