Dice roll again Topic

I have pulled in 6 man classes a couple times. No big deal even if you lose a few dice rolls. Were they all studs day one? Nope. Did they develop into great players? Heck yeah.

Just had six openings with my Southern Mississippi team (5 graduations, one EE). Lost out on 3-4 players I spent money on, filled 5 positions, and would have filled the sixth if I didn't spend my scouting money frivolously and get called away from a couple cycles to handle a family emergency. Three of the newcomers are starting and we are in the hunt for an NT berth.

In my first full recruiting at Baylor I pulled in 5 recruits that took me to the PIT in year one and the NT in year two in a power conference.

I am not great at this game yet and freely admit I still need to learn more. However, I can say that large high quality classes are not impossible or overly difficult.

Just posted this on another thread and thought it might help someone or be pertinent in this one.

Based on the idea put forth that 21 starts is the magical minimum number of starts needed to fulfill a starting recruiting promise...You can fulfill 6 starting promises in one season of 27 games.

27*5=135
?135÷21= 6.4

FTB, if you don't want to win games, sure.

i could maybe see this being a viable strategy in year 2 of a tremendous rebuild when you have 7 or 8 openings or something and contending for the NT is a pipedream, but other than that it's a bit extreme.

I was thinking of trying it my first season in Iba with a D3 school or with a D2 school in the first season. Might be easier at the D2 school to get players that can start.

Rebuild needs time. I get bad players at Alabama but we are heading in the right direction. But people have to see who wins the NT and stop saying you could do this do that... you need total studs to get the NT
