How does this even make sense? Topic

So you're in agreement with Zorzii that it's a possibility that they've changed the game to make it harder for D3 teams to beat D1 teams in recruiting battles?
No, I'm in agreement with zorzii that D1 has adjusted. They no longer drop 20 AP and expect the player to sign when D3 has been working the dude for two sessions. They put in more effort. As well they should.

In no way should D3 beat D1 if D1 really wants the guy. But a lot of D1 think they're entitled to whatever they want whenever they want it. That attitude is changing because the game has forced them into it.

Mike - it's you who is misunderstanding what Zorzii is saying.

"I think D1 has adjusted but I am not even sure these D3 recruiting wins were not a simple bug. "

Zorzii is saying that the D3 beating D1s was possibly a bug in the game that was fixed.

I think they've done something about it or d1 has adjusted.
This is what he said FIRST.

Do you disagree? If not, then am I really misunderstanding what he's saying?

But it's typical zorzii. I told you I hated agreeing with him. He doesn't even agree with himself if you give him enough rope.

I disagree that they've (WIS) changed something or it was merely a bug.

So do I. As zorzii initially stated, I think D1 users have adjusted.

Pull out numbers, real effort so I can see. I mean, I would like to compare.

Send a SM to the guy I beat. I'll give you my effort. I can just about guarantee he put 30-40 AP into the player, unlocked the schollie offer and nothing else. And he still put me at 66/34.

Because I'll forget, I had 3 neutral, 1 VG, 1 Bad as preferences. When/if you get his effort, I'll give you mine.

Where are you guys getting the odds? Is that something you assume or were told at some point? I can't see it on a screen, but it appears as if it is a link.. I haven't been really tried to steal a recruit as a DII or DIII coach. I just took a 4 star player from an A prestige team with a D+ prestige team. Both DI obviously. I thought that would be impossible. He was a Whenever preference and I had him at Very High early on. Another A team came in and bumped me down before the second A team came in and bumped him down. The first team gave up and so did I for a bit. I had already told him he would start and get 25 minutes. Finally sent a Campus Visit and 20 Home Visits along with 80 AP for about 4 more cycles and got even at Very High with the A prestige team. I never figured he would sign with me over an A prestige, but this morning he had signed an early as well. I mean how many kids get recruited by Power 5 Conference team and say they would rather play with a team which has never played in March Madness? So, I think that is a bit ridiculous making it impossible for me to imagine an A, B or even C prestige DI team losing out to a lower level program.

Odds only show up on players that signed, that you were either at High or Very High on, whether you win or lose. The odds will appear on the Considering List tab. The odds don't appear until after the targeted player has chosen his school... until then school interest shows as either High, Very High, Moderate, Low or Very Low, but the odds don't show up til after player chooses the school.

That's the way the game is now. You need to distance yourself from reality when it comes to recruiting. D2 and D3 teams are now beating schools like UConn.

Playing Time would have to be a big factor in that. Many D1 players IRL decide to play for a low prestige where they will play major minutes/start from day 1 rather than ride the bench for a top 5 conference.

Don't compare HD recruiting to real life. RL schools have contact with players before their senior year. HD players may not get a single AP from a school until late in RS2 and still sign with them. That's not realistic at all.

I left 20 or seasons ago because I felt it was becoming too much like real life. After a Final Four and a then a 30-1 season at a mid major, I couldn't get a decent recruit to look at me. That was when recruiting version 2.0 was released. It may have swung the other way some, but I'll reserve judgment until I've played a few more seasons under this version. It does seem to make it more about what a coach will do rather than name and prestige. I like that a bit as this is What If, not real life. I wanna see a Mid Major or even lower be able to succeed if a good coach will stick with them for season after season to build them up.

I'm gonna find out if I can steal a recruit from a DII team right now. I got on him 2 cycles ago. He has a couple of DII at Moderate. I am at Low right now after offering a scholarship and 60 AP. I'm gonna offer a start and minutes (25) and give him 80 APs for the remaining recruiting cycles. He is an Early preference on signing so I'm hoping I can pull ahead and get him signed before the DII guy has a chance.
