#1 Elmhurst Blue Jays (2-0) @ #20 Chestnut Hill Griffins (1-1) (-7):

- Hoping that last night was a fluke; the Chestnut Hill Griffins welcome the #1 team in the land. Elmhurst, coming off a 41-point win, will look to all but seal their invitational championship hopes tonight. The Griffins are hoping to use some of their momentum and home court advantage to hold off the Blue Jays and take the Invitational into the final day (like last season). If the Griffins are going to pull this one out they will need huge nights from Big Baltzell and Cold Hart. Look for a fight at the beginning but it to get out of hand late.

Prediction: Elmhurst by 23

#15 Linfield Wildcats (2-1) @ #6 Randolph-Macon Yellow Jackets (-6):

- After getting annihilated the night before, Linfield will look to try and bounce back while traveling to see the #6 team in the land. The Yellow Jackets, after a night off, are well rested and well prepared to take on the young cats. This games, just like last night, could get ugly fast. The only way this game could go the Wildcats way is if the Yellow Jackets get caught up in the opening game of the night and forget to show up. Look for a huge night from Kissell and the Yellow Jackets as they pound their way into 2nd place with the hopes that Chestnut Hill can upset the Blue Jays.

Prediction: Randolph-Macon by 21

Great thread :) great read.

Good game Benis, you had my team outplayed for most of the game, and it seems like the refs didn't know which team was supposed to get the homecourt calls. Elmhurst got lucky with that one.

Yeah I gave you a scare so that was nice. I think fatigue caught up with my boys at the end and just got too handsy (another flaw their coach has).

GG and good luck rest of season.

#1 Elmhurst Blue Jays (3-0) defeats #20 Chestnut Hill Griffins (1-2) (+7): 80-71

- With the win the Elmhurst Blue Jays, in their first ever appearance, win the 4th Annual Dice Roll Invitational. Even if they were to lose tomorrow, they will have the head to head tiebreaker. The Griffins gave the Blue Jays all that they could handle and were in the came up till the end. Ryan 'Cold' Heart put up 21 points, but it was off of 6-20 from the field. Elmhurst has worn their opponents down constantly and it has shown as they have been tough to stay out of foul trouble against.

Play(s) of the game: To close the game Elmhurst finished 10-12 from the free throw line, not giving the Griffins a chance to come back in the game.

Player of the game: William Depaz (SR.) 15 Pts, 1 Reb and 1 Ast

#6 Randolph-Macon Yellow Jackets (2-1) defeats Linfield Wildcats (2-2) (+6): 83-71

- Even with the win the Yellow Jackets have been eliminated as Elmhurst took care of business in the opener. The Yellow Jackets will look for a second place finish tonight as a loss would make it a 3-way tie for second place; opening up for the point differential tie-breaker. With the game close in the first half, the Yellow Jackets took off in the second half and put the game away. Kissell did not light up the scoreboard as expected, but was very efficient from the field all day.

Play(s) of the game: With Linfield having the lead with just under 16 min to play; Edward Thompson hits a tough fade in the face of Ryan Johnson. This was the start of an 18-4 run to essentially put the game away.

Player of the game: Michael Kissell (SR.) 17 Pts, 8 Reb and 1 Blk

Finally had a good FT game.

Nice job on the title Kekionga. Hope to see you again next season.

Thank you Benis, I'll be sticking around and will hope to keep the team competitive after my seniors graduate. I would love a NC challenge even if I do not get an invite next year if you are willing.

Qb set it up that the winner gets an automatic invite. I think.
