Frank or Brownie Foreman could lead your jury (and perform mop-up pitching duties)

Anyone remember an old baseball book that was full of these sorts of lineups? I had the paperback version I think in the mid '80s. They had the obvious stuff (best franchise lineups, best lineups by decade, etc.) and then offbeat stuff like the topic of this thread -- best tall guy lineup, short guys, fat guys, best under 20, over 40, animal names, color names (e.g. Vida Blue), Italians, Latin Americans, and so on. Great bathroom reading.

Bill James Historical Abstract had lists like those. Ugliest players, greatest short players, etc.

Great ideas all ! Let's keep it going...

I totally forgot about first names, like Sheriff Blake...but all the suggestions are fun.

Don't know how I forgot David Justice, though I guess that was the point about Possum..

And Johnny Outlaw !

After this one we have to think up some more categories.
