Anyone have a good answer for why this guy's FTA's have drastically decreased? I personally have no clue.

He's shooting more threes for one. Also a possibility that his defenders are better and more athletic this year.

Last year 55% of his shots were 3s, this year 67%. Less opportunity to get fouled.

He's also taking about .7 less shots per game and his fg % is up a good bit so less opportunities for 2 ft's.

Last year he had 280 more 2 point field goal attempts that 3 point FGA's, this year looks like it will be closer to 200 when the season is over so I'd say that's the big difference right there. It's also a balance of low post versus perimeter ratings, his perimeter has skyrocketed but his low post has remained the same, so that means he's going to take more 3's regardless of what you put his +/- at which decreases free throw attempts.

Both make a great deal of sense.

He shoots more 3's than 2's. 3pt fga are factored into fga's overall.

Ik. That's a huge difference. Not your fault at all. That's the reason, 98%.
