I've currently got two D3 teams and I'm considering jumping to D1 in Rupp after this season. I have no idea if someone will take over my team, but I want to leave the team in good shape. Let's say that I lock onto a D2 player and give them lots of AP, visits, etc. during the first recruiting phase. Nobody else is on the player, so presumably the player will sign with me during the second phase. Does that effort carry over to the SIM or new coach that takes over after I leave? In other words, will the D2 recruit still sign once I'm gone? Or is it a clean slate and I shouldn't bother doing any recruiting?

Any recruiting you do has an effect on the coach coming in. I took over a DII team from DIII and effectively signed the players that were recruited from the previous coach.

I have the same problem, except I recruited D3 players, but I failed to notice that 2 of my targets were late signees, so we shall see what happens.
