Press depth chart pattern Topic

Anyone has a press depth chart pattern? It seems getting tired is the way I play press and it has to do with my depth chart for sure. If you have 11 players, it's 2 deep every spot, then what? Do you fill out all the spots?

I do mine by feel based on what I have and how the returning players functioned best last season. I also shuffle them around based on matchups during the season. Here is a pattern that will work. It was what I started with.

Fill out all the spots. Use the two deep approach for the first 2 lines. If your last two players are serviceable you can put them in a couple of spots on line 3 or 4. Fill in the rest with your higher stamina players who are the best at those positions.

I've always gone 3 deep at every position. Sometimes 4 deep at at the 2 and 3.

I always fill out all 4 spots. Typically, I will have 5 low posts players and 7 perimeter players on my roster. So if I have 11 available with 6 perimeter and 5 low posts guys, usually I'll use one of my low post players at the 3rd string SF and fill out the rest of the depth chart as I normally would. If I have 7 perimeter and 4 low post players, I'll use my best non-starting rebounding perimeter player in the 3rd or 4th slot at C & PF depending on his Ath value.
