How long is this debate going to last? We are NOT going back.
3.0 recruiting is better. And it isn't even close.
This "we're not going back to 2.0" argument is a straw man -- I don't think anyone who's still playing the game is arguing for that. The debate is what 3.0 is now (which is at best debatably better than 2.0 -- quite a few people voted with their feet on that question) versus what it could be with a few fixes/improvements. That is the source of much of my frustration -- WIS rolled out a flawed product and apparently is uninterested in the removal of those flaws. There are multiple obvious fixes that WIS won't undertake (the national champions page, the 10-team considering list -- there are others, but there is less unanimity on those issues). They're apparently capable of moving quickly (see closing the WE loophole, although the communication was atrocious) -- they just don't respect the user base enough to do it. That is a major issue.
And I don't buy the whole "what will the new users think when they read the forums" pleas scattered in this thread. If WIS wants people to quit complaining in the forums, they can get their acts together. I'm not going to hold hands with mike and spud pretending all is well.
