Redshirt, or recruit a dumb kid who doesn't qualify academically in year 1.
Redshirt is more beneficial anyways. You get 5 seasons of growth which is far nicer.

Yeah and dumb kids do different things in different divisions, so be real careful going that route.

Most of the time this is right. Ineligibles with high WE can get a 10-20 boost in the season between FR and SOPH so a player with 80+ WE will grow just as much or more than a RS guy with around a 30ish WE.
