has anyone ever seen "fast tempo" as a play style preference? I have never seen that one before today. I thought the only options for play style was Strong defense, Paint Offense and Perimeter Offense.

So do you get a good rating for playing up tempo 80% of your games? Wonder if it counts if you start the game at fast pace but switch to Normal due to halftime adjustment.

No
if you switch to slow down in the second half because of a blowout it hurts you

Not sure what you're saying No to Mully..

But Drichar - basically it just calculates out your # of possessions in a game. So if you start Fast and go Normal at halftime, it'll have fewer possessions than uptempo for both halves.

That kinda sucks because you could play up tempo every game, but if your opponents always play slow down, then you might not qualify to get a good or very good on the preference.

Does anybody have an idea on how many possessions per game you need to average in order to get "good"?

Yep I faced that with Wisconsin a few seasons ago when I went undefeated. Played up-tempo but had several games with 20pt halftime leads and the team started the 2nd half running slow down.
