Just reading through old Dev Chats. Here's a funny one

why are all recruits not available for viewing (hockey_brian - Hall of Famer - 10:40 PM)

Last one - all recruits are not necessarily available to all coaches. This is by design. Some recruits may consider playing at (for example) at DII powerhouse or playing at a very low level DI school. They would not consider playing at a DII school that was 4-23 the previous season so in order to save those schools the time, money and aggravation of going after a recruit that would never play for them, the recruit will not show in their recruiting search.

This was another funny one

what's the point of introducing rape and murder into the game, and how often will they occur? (kcsundevil - Hall of Famer - 7:55 PM)

Because it happens in real life and just like real life, it will be very infrequent but it will make you think about how you want to handle it. If it was my star SG and we're heading into the conference tournament with a 58 RPI - do I try to cover it up?

I remember this, and it still blows my mind that I actually had to ask this question about HD.

Easy fix would be to get rid of dropdowns and pulldowns altogether. Honestly, I hate the recruiting from all divisions.

How many schools in DI are "elite" jobs? And what will it take to qualify for those job in terms of overall wins/national tourney wins? (AceCards - Hall of Famer - 4:47 PM)

We don't really define schools as elite. Each school has a prestige rating which is a compilation of many factors (conference, attendance, national reputation, history, ranking, national tournament appearances, etc.). That prestige rating is the biggest determinant of how hard (or easy) it is to land that job. These are the highest ranked schools (in no particular order):
University of Arizona
University of Connecticut
Duke University
University of Kansas
University of Kentucky
University of North Carolina
Stanford University

Stanford??!
