Has HD changed the "Longshot" job application process? It has always declined your application quickly within a cycle or sooner, but yesterday at 4:24 am I applied for a "Longshot" position and at 10pm it was still under consideration and I thought that when I got up this morning I would have my new job in IBA World. Sometime between 10pm and 5 am I was declined.

WIS PLEASE go back to the quick decline. I was really wanting to start scouting this morning, and now I had to find another team to apply to.

Did you apply on the first day that jobs were open? No decisions on job applications are made for the first 24 hours.

Honestly, you should assume that any longshot application is going to be denied and apply to your backup job at the same time that you apply to the longshot job.

I respectfully disagreed on timing. I have been declined multiple times within the first two hours. I should have done the latter, but I was hoping for an IBA Big 12 gig.

In 2.0, I routinely was rejected for longshot within 4 hours. But in 3.0, there is no response the first day -- check your world schedule. The jobs apps open at 3 a.m. on the day after the renewal deadline and job acceptances and rejections process at 2 a.m. the following day.
