2-3 Vs. 3-2 Zone Topic

My Virginia Tech team is confusing. I have 7 scholarship players eligible, luckily I run Triangle/Zone. I have 3 guards, and 4 bigs. Two of my bigs Castillo and Thomas have 70+ BH/P with one of them (Thomas having 65 Spd). I have my starting line-up

Branam
Lowitz(promised start and 25 minutes)
Thomas
Castello
Crum

I will have Hutchenson backing up the 1 and 2 and Sisler backing up the 4 and 5.

I cant figure out if I want to go 3-2 or 2-3. My guards are worse than my bigs, but I feel that my team better fits the 2-3 with my C being the ideal 2-3 C, and my two PF’s that can play on the wing.

My main question is this, would it be better to run 3-2 with Thomas being out of position, or to run 2-3 with my guards just being bad with Lowitz and Hutchenson.

and what would the depth chart look like for both.

Does running a bad 3-2 defend the perimeter better than a good 2-3?

From what I was told is that 3-2 helps prevent the amount of 3's taken more than the 3pt fg%. So even a bad 3-2 against a heavy 3 opp. will help elevate the amount of 3's. But putting a PF type big at SF in a 3-2 doesn't bode well for SP to guard the per.
