I disagree with everyone else. In my experience a second round PT exit has had equal value to a first round NT exit. It's been a little while since I tested this, but not that long...

I'd be interested in seeing the results for this one.

I always thought an NT was worth much more as evidenced by the prestige bump difference for a NT bid and a PIT bid.

I thought it was discussed in a dev chat that any NT birth > PI win.

I think it was my former D3 wooden team that was A or A+, won the PI, and dropped in prestige. I've had other A/A+ teams bow out in the 1st round of the tourney and they held their prestige.

In season 111, I went to the NT and lost in the first round (RPI of 40). Prestige went from a C to a B-.

In season 113, I won the PIT championship (RPI of 32). Prestige went from a C+ to a B-.

From a limited sample, this tells me that the prestige boost is pretty close to equal for the two seasons, if maybe a bit greater for the NT season.

My Davidson team just won the PI in phelan...went from D+ to C. I'm not sure we would not have been C anyway with win total over previous seasons.
