Ok so....there is a lot of good stuff here, every time I try and find an answer regarding zone, I just end up leaving with more questions haha...
I have two questions, and I know these have been touched on in this thread and others, but I'm still a little confused, so thank you for bearing with me.
I'm trying to decide whether to primarily run 2-3 or 3-2.
1.) Does rebounding get averaged?
2.) In a 2-3 how do you handle your SF and PF? Seems to me like combining your SF with PF is going to tank your PF ratings, especially shot block (and maybe rebounding if it does get averaged). So in what situations would a 2-3 be more beneficial than a 3-2?
I know someone else asked #2 but I didn't really get a clear answer.
Thanks very much for the help!

Rebounding doesn’t really get averaged, as in the rebounding attribute is not (to my knowledge) paired. Zone does suffer a little in rebounding, especially the 3-2, so when playing 3-2 as my base (which I usually prefer, unless personnel and promises dictate otherwise), I default to -2 setting, and I put a premium on rebounding for my bigs.
With your team, which is quite good, I think, I’d go Kuykendall-Arant-Thorne, Randle-Woods in a 3-2. Machen-Rikard-Dunston, Vine-Mack is a formidable 2nd line. Your team looks like a natural 3-2 to me. You shouldn’t have any problem defending the perimeter, even cheating farther in than -2 when they shoot less than 1/3 of their attempts from 3p.
As to your second question, 2-3 can be great when 1) you are short on guards, and/or 2) you are up against an opponent who has little perimeter game, and will try to drive a lot. I don’t worry about blk too much with the 3 and 4, it’s mostly defense for me there in 2-3. The C blk is used for the help against driving the lane.
